Construction Services Division
Construction Services Division (CSD) is a construction delivery method in which Planning, Design & Construction serves as the Construction Manager for projects up to $2 million in project size. CSD allows for better control of project schedules and budgets due to savings on overhead and mark-ups. CSD projects have also been very successful on expediting project schedules by pre-ordering long lead items and performing early work packages more effectively.
CSD was officially established in 2007 currently with two staff who have General Contractor licenses (GB98) which the division operates under. As an Internal Service Unit, PDC has benefited from the CSD’s flexible business model remaining fiscally balanced even in leaner years. CSD has constructed such successful projects as the Nanotechnology Lab, Math Learning Lab, Zimmerman Library Student Commons, Football Stadium Pavilion, McKinnon Tennis Complex and numerous Housing upgrade projects to name a few.
